Laurie Heller Design
After several months of working as lead designer at BU's College of Communication (COM), I made a formal proposal to COM leadership to lead the school through a brand analysis, shape a visual identity, and implement it across media. There had previously been no defined brand identity for the college. I led months of focus groups, discovery, and analysis, followed by weeks of design work, to create a vibrant identity that is contributing to greater brand awareness via COM's website as well as all print and digital materials.
On this page:
a few pages from the COM style guide I developed
a recruitment brochure with comparison photos showing the old brochure and the redesigned brochure with COM’s new identity
various pieces I designed after establishing the visual identity, which showcase the brand’s ability to adapt to different contexts, subject matter, and audiences
