Each year, I design unified, thematic assets for CIty Year’s three nation-wide events: Opening Day (some sites use a different name), MLK Day, and Graduation.

For FY25, I first created an event “poster” illustration that I could use in its entirety for some purposes (e.g. print invitation), and then created derivative standalone graphics to create flexible, engaging designs for all channels.

For each event, I used a different color palette and key message to develop visuals around.

For these events I design all assets, including:
- print save the date, invitation, and program
- social media graphics - ready to use and templates
- graphics for online registration and giving platforms
- email graphics and templates

I also art direct the creation of accompanying animated assets and/or video promotions and reels.

Using City Year’s digital asset management system, I craft a guide for each event’s assets, helping staff find exactly what they need, when they need it, with any relevant instructions.
