Each year, I design unified, thematic assets for CIty Year’s three nation-wide events: Opening Day (some sites use a different name), MLK Day, and Graduation.

I conduct focus groups across the network to help with tone setting, and then design all relevant assets for use including print, social media, online registration and giving platforms, day-of event materials, and email communications.

In addition to a multitude of ready-to-use graphics for varied use cases, I create a wide range of templates so that non-designer staff can easily customize graphics and print materials with their event details. I art direct the creation of accompanying animated assets and/or video promotions and reels.

Using City Year’s digital asset management system, I also craft a guide for each event’s assets, helping staff find exactly what they need, when they need it, with any relevant instructions.
